Rahsaan Baharti is an eight-time national champion cyclist from Compton, CA and founder of the Bahati Foundation, a professional racing team and youth development organization that aims to inspire students from under-resourced communities to achieve their own best promise. A six-part television series is being produced that documents Baharti’s unlikely rise to cycling stardom and the influence of his foundation. Here’s a trailer for “Bahati: Out of Compton,” which is slated to air in the summer or fall of 2010:
